Science & Engineering
  • Designed a tape dispenser for the International Space Station that will work in zero gravity without using an exposed blade
  • Selected from over 1,000 applicants to be one of 11 interns for summer 2016 at Khan Academy with a focus on Mobile Development
  • Was awarded the Herbert J. Greenberg Award in Mathematics, Computer Science Outstanding Academic Achievement Award and Special Award for Outstanding Citizenship
  • Received a summer internship with the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) as a senior aviation administration student
  • Started a company, MusiQuest, a music education app and desktop software tool for students, that empowers students of all skill levels to connect with the joy of music and enjoy music composition
  • Published an article in the New England Journal of Medicine about advancements in chronic lymphocytic leukemia
  • Wrote the coding for the hydrofuge which enables plants to grow in space
  • Published, "The Privacy Prescription: Why Health Data Privacy Is in Critical Condition and How to Fix It"
  • Presented research at the Joint Global Neurofibromatosis Conference in Paris, France
Sports & Adventure
  • Competed at the 2021 Olympic Trials for Diving
  • Competed with Team USA in the Hyderabad Polo and Riding Club International Women’s Tournament
  • Played on East High School Varsity Basketball State Championship Team
  • Competed in the Junior Olympic Fencing Championship and took 8th place out of 183 competitors
  • Participated in the 2015 Youth US National Championship in the Modern Pentathlon and competed in the Youth World Championship in Buenos Aires
  • Set out on a 10-month bicycle journey from the coast of Columbia to the tip of Chile - about 10,000 miles
  • As captains took their Ultimate Frisbee team won the state championship
Arts & Literature
  • Founded a bilingual charter school
  • Solo show, “Returning the Gaze,” at The Denver Art Museum
  • Original vocals and compositions featured on the Soundtrack for the Thai-language Baz Poonpiriya and Wong Kar Wai film "One for the Road"
  • Received an honorable mention in the Amy Levy Contest recognizing young Jewish writers
  • Won 1st and 2nd place in extemporaneous speaking in the Mile High Speech and Debate Tournament at the University of Denver
  • Published the book, “Sleep Wise: How to Feel Better, Work Smarter, and Build Resilience”
  • Named MacArthur Fellow, 2021
  • Wrote, produced, choreographed, oversaw set design and performed in "Cirque Floresta", which premiered at the Cleo Parker Robinson Institute of Dance.
  • Won 2nd place in musical theater in the National Student Auditions for NATS (National Association of Teachers of Singing)
  • Colorado 2023 DECA State Champion
  • Secured funding from investors for their entrepreneurial venture, Tennisify
  • Featured as a historian on an episode of “This American Life”
  • Member of East High School team that placed first in the 32nd Annual We the People: The Citizen and the Constitution National Finals
  • Published the book, “Ranger Games,” an Amazon bestseller of September 2017
  • Wrote the critically acclaimed play, “The Treasurer,” which performed for an extended run at Playwrights Horizons in New York City
  • Named one of Forbes’ 2019 30 Under 30
Humanitarian & Community Causes
  • Founded East Students Demand Action, a chapter of the national student group, Students Demand Action
  • Named CEO of Girl Effect, an international non-profit that creates safe digital spaces and campaigns for girls in Asia and Africa with an emphasis on sexual health, nutrition, education, and relationships
  • Was awarded a Humanity in Action Fellowship to become one of 24 fellows to study in Warsaw, Poland, focusing on discrimination and hate speech
  • Served on the  Colorado Youth Advisory Council (COYAC)
  • Received of the 2018 Conrad N. Hilton Humanitarian Prize
