Learning, Growing, and Innovating: Logan Staff Visits Bay Area Schools
March 10, 2025
At The Logan School, we believe that learning never stops—not just for students, but for educators as well. Recently, Logan staff embarked on a professional development trip to the Bay Area, where we had the privilege of visiting several gifted schools and engaging in deep conversations with colleagues who share our passion for supporting curious, creative learners.
These visits were more than just an opportunity to see different school models in action; they were a chance to reflect, exchange ideas, and gain fresh perspectives on how we can continue to innovate in our own classrooms. We saw firsthand how different schools are approaching project-based learning, student agency, and personalized education. These experiences reinforced our belief that collaboration—both among educators and with families—is a powerful tool in bringing new insights into our schools.
Innovation doesn’t happen in isolation. It grows from connection, from sharing what works and challenging ourselves to think differently. As we return to Logan, we bring with us not only new ideas but a renewed commitment to fostering an environment where students, teachers, and families are active participants in shaping the learning experience.
A heartfelt thank you to the schools that graciously welcomed us— The Nueva School, Helios School, and Tesselations School—shared their expertise, and engaged in rich discussions. Your generosity of time and spirit continues to inspire us!
