As the conversation about nutrition and healthy food options for students in schools has evolved, The Logan School began looking into options for our a new lunch program. We believe that all students should have an opportunity to eat a healthy and hearty lunch; therefore, we partnered with Flik, a company that specializes in independent school lunch programs.
Flik is committed to providing quality foodservice at every meal. Meals are prepared from fresh ingredients and support local and sustainable agricultural practices. Flik's promise is to go above and beyond foodservice by offering nutrition education that empower students to make healthy choices on a daily basis.
Food Safety and Allergies Flik understands and takes very seriously their responsibility to educate their culinary staff about safe food preparation. Wholesome ingredients and balanced meals allow students to make their own choices within already defined healthful boundaries. Ongoing food safety training lead by their on-site executive chef ensures Flik staff are equipped with the knowledge to serve children safely. The Flik staff are also required to attend a comprehensive food allergy training session taught by a nutrition specialist each semester. They learn the basics of food allergies and their role as foodservice providers to serving individuals with food allergies safely.
